Painting  mostly in the tradition of ‘Dia de Muertos’ (day of the Dead) Santos often reproduces the works by renowned  Mexican artist José Guadalupe Posada a  Mexican political print-maker and engraver who's works often featured“living skeletons”. 

Santos paints in many mediums but mostly oil on canvas board and oil on velvet. He has become known for his colorful miniatures reproductions of Posada’s works.
